Genesis 37-50 ~ Joseph – Designed for Good - ACT 1 of 4 Joseph’s life was designed for good. You could trace his genealogy and the passing of blessings, covenants and promises of God from Abraham, through Isaac and Jacob to Joseph. “Through your offspring all nations will be blessed”. Gen. 21:12; Gen 22:18 (Abraham) Gen 26:4 (Isaac) Gen 28:3-4 (Isaac to Jacob) Gen 28:14-15 (Jacob). He was born to Rachel and Jacob as an answer to Rachel’s prayer. She was the one that Jacob truly loved and Joseph was her first son “God has taken away my disgrace” Gen 30:22-24a. Joseph means “may he add”. But this idea of being DESIGNED FOR GOOD is all of our stories. And our hope is that you will see your story in God's story through this series with Joseph's life as a case study.
